Destination... a beautiful deserted island, for a relaxing picnic lunch on the beach.  Our full-day tour starts mid-morning with a bus ride to the lunch site. En-route we point out native plant species and enlighten you to the rich geological history of the Abacos. We splash the boats - and off we go.

Unique rock formations, blue holes, and blooming orchids combine to paint a beautiful backdrop for a very relaxing day.
Kayaking is simply the best way to experience the natural wonders hidden deep within the limitless shallow creeks that line the Mainland Island of Great Abaco.

Holes, 100's of feet deep, breath cold, pure seawater from deep within the earth's crust.
After lunch we paddle to our favorite snorkeling destination - where you will drift effortlessly with the current over beautiful soft-coral gardens that grow in the cuts between islands. Finally, we paddle back to the launch-site and we'll have you home just in time for a sundowner!

We Currently offer the following excursions:

Kayak Day Tours:  Enjoy all that the outback of Great Abaco has to offer.  This full day trip is from approximately 10 AM to 4 PM and coincides with ferry schedules from Great Guana Cay, Elbow Cay, and Man-O-War Cay.  Cost of this trip is $75 per adult and $40 per child under 12.  A picnic lunch, beverages, and snorkel gear are provided.

Guided Birding Trips:  Designed for everyone from the experienced birder out for that Bahamian "life-bird", to those who are just looking to see something different.  Search for the endangered Bahama Parrot and other Bahamian endemics.  According to experts, Abaco has the best birding in the Bahamas.  Fall and spring migrations are very active for Eastern Warblers.  Contact us for the current pricing and availability and be sure to book in advance as this is generally a weekly trip.

Early Morning Nature Hike:  A great way to start off the day!  This short hike up to one of Abaco's highest peaks focuses on the natural history of the islands, while identifying wildlife and plants along the trail.  This excursion lasts approximately 2 hours and costs $15 per person.  Refreshments are included.

Coming Soon!  3-5 night camping kayak trips.  Contact us for more information.

About - Abaco Outback
Last year, while driving our little 9-seater bus down the Great Abaco Highway en-route to Marsh Harbour, we were astounded at the vast raw wilderness that still exists in this part of the world. How lucky we feel that we were actually living in the outback, the outback of Abaco. So was born our company dedicated to its preservation. My wife and I built this little business from scratch. With the help of a friend here and a friend there, turning our idea into a reality. We keep it simple. Erin and I consider it our obligation to share with you our love for these enchanted places, creating an inherent need for their preservation. Contact us for more information on current expeditions, prices, and availability.
